Night At The Museum

On Thursday of our vacation to D.C. we hit up the Smithsonian museums and Jefferson Memorial. We walked the most on this day than any other day. I had a total of 21,868 steps…

We started the day walking to Jefferson Memorial. It was a little out of the way. It isn’t located with all the other memorials. I think the extra walk was worth it though. The memorial was so…. Jefferson. It had Jefferson’s signature dome shape.

After the memorial it was about lunch time, so we headed to the Smithsonian of American History and grabbed some lunch at the cafe there. The museum was huge and I could have probably spent all day there. Instead of writing about it, I will just show you my pictures.

(My favorite thing was the ruby slippers.)

After the Museum of American History we went to the Museum of Natural Science. This one wasn’t as interesting to me. I’m not really a sciencey person. We mostly went to see the diamond. I mostly went because it’s where the second Night at the Museum took place.

After the museums we walked by the capital building. We couldn’t go to Washington without seeing the capital building.

Our next stop was dinner. We went to a Swiss restraint called Stable D.C. It wasn’t very far from our Airbnb so we walked. The food was sooooo good. For an appetizer we got Raclette.

For dinner, I of course got fondue. Can you really go to a Swiss restaurant without getting fondue? Then for a dessert I got Panna Cotta. Sorry, but I was too excited for to eat it to taken a picture. Oops.
