The land of chocolate, beer, and waffles.
My third favorite country (yes I have a list) is the one and only Belgium. Belgium is made up of two regions: the Dutch speaking north, where I was, called Flanders and then the south, the French speaking Wallonia. Belgium is an underrated travel destination overshadowed by its neighbors, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. While the weather may get a little rainy, there is still a lot to enjoy in this beautiful country. The people are friendly, the beer is great, and history is all around. I can go on forever about how much fun I had in Belgium visiting the exchange student my family had hosted when I was in high school. It is a great place for a young person, especially in university towns. Then there is Brussels which is one of the most international cities in the world. If Belgium isn’t on your radar, it should be! Maybe this will inspire you!
